Welcome to the WAO website.
WAO is a non-profit organization set up to improve access to risk capital for small business start-ups in the Winnipeg centered area. WAO wants to make it easier for entrepreneurs to present their ideas to private investors while maintaining the confidentiality of those investors.

If you are an entrepreneur seeking risk capital, please visit the "Entrepreneurs" section to review our application process.

If you are an investor interested in reviewing new business opportunities, please visit the "Investors" section. This section contains information on general membership in WAO and details on the "accredited investor" requirements necessary to be an Angel Member

WAO membership is open to any private sector individual or corporation that wants to support access to capital for new and emerging Manitoba business. WAO currently has over 60 individual and corporate members, over 30 of whom are "accredited investors".
